Never Stop Learning -  make the world your classroom

About Us

Classroom Travel became a reality in January of 2007.

I was trained by EFTours (Education First Tours) in Paris 2007.  I led two successful tours in 2008 with great results.  I am dedicated to giving personalized service, educational experiences, and I pay close attention to the details. While many internet sites promise cheap flights or special deals, inexperienced travelers are often unaware of restrictions, exceptions, and fine print. Making the right choices based on price alone is not always the best course of action for travelers. Let me do the work.  You and your child can just enjoy the trip.

First, I am a teacher and I want to see people really learn.  I know we all remember what we live more than what we read. My own children are so excited to tell me about their field trips to businesses, but they do not talk with much enthusiasm about what happens in class. They talk about their little trips weeks later as though it were yesterday. (At the ripe age of 34, I took my first trip overseas to Japan and found myself telling stories about it for months).

Second, I believe deep down, all American have that curiosity and the wanderlust to explore new lands. But sadly, half of the students in my classes have never even been out of the state of North Dakota, and even fewer have been out of the country.  My friends in their 40's say they can't afford to travel or are afraid to go it alone. But they want to.

And finally, Classroom travel went from being a wish to a plan when I found out that another person in my life had terminal cancer.  It's true, it took a "scare" to push me into doing what I knew I wanted to do.

Why should you travel with me? I have been a teacher for 13 years, a Girl Scout leader for 10 and camp coordinator 9 times. I am organized and fun.  You will be learning painlessly.  You don't have to read all the travel guides or book the hotels. I will be with you from the booking to the landing.

I led a safe, wonderful trip through Ireland and the UK in May/June 2008.  We had an amazing group of 16 go to Japan in July/August 2008.  NO lost passports, no one was sick and no one was left behind. (even though they wanted to be.)

I want to see your child live their story: a wonderful, safe, exciting, educational story.
